Weston & Sampson, a 100 percent employee-owned interdisciplinary firm offering design, engineering, and environmental services, has been ranked No. 2 nationally in the “Enterprise” category of the 2026 Best Places to Work for Women awards program. The No. 2 ranking places Weston & Sampson among the top employers in the nation and among the highest-ranked engineering firms participating in the program.

Presented by Best Companies Group in partnership with BridgeTower Media, the award recognizes organizations that create exceptional workplace experiences for women and foster opportunities for career growth, leadership development, and long-term success. The recognition places the firm among the nation’s top employers and among the few engineering firms to earn a place on the prestigious list.

The rankings are based on extensive employee survey data and an independent analysis of workplace experiences for women across participating companies nationwide.

“We are honored to be recognized as one of the 2026 Best Places to Work for Women. At Weston & Sampson, we believe that creating opportunities for talented professionals to grow, lead, and succeed is essential to our culture and our continued success,” noted Leah Stanton, PE, Chief Operating Officer. “This recognition reflects the contributions of the remarkable women throughout our firm and our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive workplace where all employees can thrive.”

“As a 100 percent employee-owned company, we know that diverse perspectives strengthen our organization, improve the solutions we deliver to our clients, and help us build a stronger future for the communities we serve,” Stanton added.

Women are represented throughout Weston & Sampson, including in leadership positions and on the firm’s Board of Directors, where they help shape the organization’s future. According to company data, women represent nearly 30 percent of the firm’s workforce, are employed in more than 70 percent of departments, hold 38 percent of Board seats, and accounted for 43 percent of promotions in 2025.

“These workplaces excel in creating environments where women employees thrive,” said Jaime Raul Zepeda, Executive Vice President of Best Companies Group + COLOR Magazine. “At Best Companies Group, we are pleased to recognize employers who know, recognize, and appreciate their female talent.”
