HDR Transportation Leader Brings Multi-State Infrastructure Planning, Design, and Project Delivery Experience and Expertise

The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) announced today that Andre’ (Andy) Lauzier, P.E., senior vice president with HDR, has been elected to serve as ACEC Vice Chair for the 2026-2028 term. Lauzier will be officially installed at the 2026 ACEC Spring Conference and Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C., in May.

“Andy’s leadership across multiple state organizations and his transportation expertise will strengthen ACEC’s ability to serve our members in this increasingly interconnected market,” said ACEC Chair John Rathke. “His experience developing a skilled workforce and delivering complex projects nationwide brings a valuable perspective to our leadership team.”

As the planning and design director for HDR’s transportation group, Lauzier oversees 10 core engineering practice areas delivering services and projects throughout the United States.  He also serves on HDR’s Quality Steering Committee, ensuring excellence in project delivery and client service across the firm’s diverse portfolio.

Lauzier brings extensive ACEC leadership experience, having served in various roles with ACEC Florida, ACEC Georgia, and at the national level. His multi-state perspective provides valuable insights into regional market dynamics and the importance of coordinated advocacy efforts across state organizations and the national federation.

“My experience with ACEC Florida, ACEC Georgia, and ACEC National has shown me the power of our collective advocacy,” said Lauzier. “I look forward to helping ACEC advance member interests while promoting quality-based selection and the value that engineering consulting firms deliver to communities worldwide.”

“Engineering firms are navigating a moment of extraordinary change, and ACEC’s leadership must be prepared to meet that moment,” said Linda Bauer Darr, ACEC president and CEO. “Andy understands the business side of engineering and the strategic decisions firms are weighing to stay competitive. His insight into how our industry is evolving will be invaluable as we continue shaping policies and initiatives that strengthen the engineering enterprise and support the long-term success of our member firms.”
