Engineers Week Spotlight and New Illinois Senate Bill Aim to Strengthen State’s Engineering Pipeline

In celebration of Engineers Week 2026, ACEC Illinois had a Special Engineers Week Section published in Quad Cities Regional Business Journal on the importance of strengthening the Illinois pipeline of future engineers.  

In related news, legislation was recently introduced in the Illinois Senate to strengthen the state’s engineering workforce by proposing scholarships for engineering students if they commit to working for the Illinois Department of Transportation.
