ACEC Member News: Steve Kuntz Promoted to Lead Dewberry’s Transportation Market Sector

Today, ACEC member Dewberry announced that Steve Kuntz, PE, DBIA, has been promoted to market sector leader for the firm’s national transportation practice. “In his new role, Kuntz will lead efforts to drive growth and collaboration across offices, engaging a staff of more than 700 transportation professionals, while strengthening client relationships and expanding the firm’s presence across aviation, bridges and structures, highways and roads, traffic, and transit and rail market segments,” Dewberry said in a release.

In his more than 27 years with Dewberry, Kuntz has led large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects for some of the firm’s key clients across the region. His experience includes design-build and design-bid-build delivery, where he has served as project manager and design manager for a wide range of projects.

As mid-Atlantic operating unit manager, Kuntz also oversees a 500-person practice across Virginia and Maryland, with services spanning site/civil and structural engineering, land development, surveying, and other design services for clients in the state/local, federal, and commercial markets.

Kuntz earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech (1999) and is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America. He was named a 2017 Top Young Professional by Engineering News-Record Mid-Atlantic.
